ВОПРОС ХРОНОЛОГИИ ДРЕВНЕГО КИЕВА В НАУЧНОМ НАСЛЕДИИ АКАДЕМИКА П.П. ТОЛОЧКО
Статья посвящена одной из тем в многогранном и обширном научном наследии академика П.П. Толочко – хронологии города Киева в самый ранний период его существования, которому ученый посветил несколько десятков книг и статей, издававшихся на протяжении последних шестидесяти лет. Личность историка, бывшего долгое время признанным лидером украинской археологической науки и значимость темы, захватывавшей умы многих поколений историков, начиная с Нестора, определили потребность рассмотреть ее более полно в рамках отдельного исследования. В работе не ставится задачей охватить абсолютно все публикации автора по этой теме, внимание будет сосредоточено лишь на его наиболее значимых монографиях, анализ которых позволит проследить эволюция взглядов ученого на протяжении всего научного творчества: от самых первых работ по исторической топографии древнего Киева до обобщающих трудов, изданных в последние годы жизни. Концептуальные выводы историка представлены в контексте идей его кол-лег-современников, выявлено их взаимовлияние, а также те положения, которые породили острые споры и дискуссии как в советский, так и украинский период работы ученого.

THE QUESTION OF THE CHRONOLOGY OF ANCIENT KYIV IN SCIENTIFIC HERITAGE ACADEMICIAN P.P. TOLOCHKO.
The article is devoted to one of the topics in the multifaceted and extensive scientific heritage of acad-emician P.P. Tolochko - the chronology of the city of Kyiv in the earliest period of its existence, to which the scientist has highlighted several dozen books and articles published over the past sixty years. The personality of the historian, who has long been recognized as the leader of Ukrainian ar-chaeological science and the significance of the topic that captured the minds of many generations of historians, starting with Nestor, determined the need to consider it more fully within the framework of a separate study. The work does not set the task of covering absolutely all the author's publications on this topic, attention will be focused only on his most significant monographs, the analysis of which will allow us to trace the evolution of the scientist's views throughout the entire scientific work: from the very first works on the historical topography of ancient Kyiv to generalizing works published in the last years of life. The historian's conceptual conclusions were considered in the context of the ideas of his fellow contemporaries, their mutual influence was revealed, as well as those provisions that gave rise to sharp disputes and discussions both in the Soviet and Ukrainian periods of the scientist's work.
